Boy Killed by Gameboy.

Comments

Well.... Apparently the article is saying that even with the "ground" wire, the kid wouldn't be saved either. For this particular case, I still think this is an accident. However this accident reveals or remember that the security isn't yet at the western level ! And we (and western tourists) have to be carefull when going to foreign countries. You still have surprise if you're not aware.

Little example : europe uses 220V, 50Hz, where in the UK, they are using 110V, 60Hz. Plug are completely different... So when going from one country to anoter you should be aware that your gameboy power or anything can get 110 or 220 ! Every apparels aren't ready for this. And if your'e coming from the UK to europe, if you're not aware of the changes, your gameboy power supply "could" explode...

I notice the same in Flights and trains.. the current isn't 110V nor 220V....
Yeah, I think it's still the kids falut because it's kind of common sense to not touch wires and stuff when they are wet eventhough everyone does it all the time. At my school in the science lab a bunch of kids always stick pens in the bottom part of the socket in the little round thing and they think they are so cool but I don't think anything will happen with that part because it's supposed to ground it or something.
Well, Nate... The boy was 7 years old. This is really young for me for him to already understand the danger of being electrochoked.
And for you friend at your school... I think he should be a little better educated ;) Yeah the little round part is the ground, there's is no electricity going in or out, it's the security wire, in case the powered apparel goes broken.
Yeah but I don't really think it was the hotel's fault. It really was just an accident.
I just woke up and I walk into a comment "fight.".....I really need to stop making "fights" happen.
It isn't really a comment fight, it is a controlled debate on a controversial topic but this post right now can start a comment fight about comment fights so in theory, anything where comments are allowed can cause a comment fight.
